The Beginning

Travel has always been a challenge for students. But after the fall of the government in Bangladesh in 2024, journeys became significantly more unsafe for both male and female students. In response, people started posting on Facebook groups and Messenger groups to find travel companions. However, this approach was neither efficient nor safe—there was no verification, no privacy controls, and no accountability.

That's why we created ECHO in 2024 as a solution to this problem. We launched as a web application, and the response was overwhelming. The web version gained significant traction, showing us that students desperately needed a safer, more structured way to connect.

The Evolution

Seeing the traction and need, we continued building the mobile app with enhanced features, stronger security, and better privacy controls. Today, ECHO has evolved into a full-featured mobile app that goes beyond basic functionality. We've listened to our community, incorporated their feedback, and built something that makes every journey safer and more transparent.
